Joy is contagious. How to maintain happiness!

Calmmé antichafe and Tough Mudder

It’s the second day of the new year and some of us have gone back to ‘life and back to ‘reality.’  The JOY before the festive break may have gone.

It would be unrealistic to think that a new year will not bring some challenges amongst those joyous moments that we share with family and friends. But at the same time, it is unhealthy to wait for things to go wrong.

JOY is contagious and so how do we maintain JOY in our lives throughout the year?

Wisdom in knowing the right path to take

Make hay whilst the sun is still shining.  Be clear with what you values are and make wise decisions when choosing  ‘your people.’

Taking time out to reflect on who and what is important to you is imperative. Being clear with what your value system is based on will attract others with the same values. In the process we will also attract those that are not aligned with our value system and we must then have the courage to walk away.

The people that you chose to spend most of your time with can have a profound affect on your joy. Your relationships can either motivate you to help meet your goals or demotivate you. It is imperative that you surround yourself with those that truly add value and authentically care, without wanting something in return.

Integrity is taking the right path

Integrity is about honouring yourself, honouring others, knowing what your values are and sticking to them, no matter what. There are times that being true to your values will be hard, but betraying your values and trying to live with that, is even harder.  Integrity is about not settling for second best, it is about remaining laser focused on what is important to you.  Steering away from the right path, will lead you into the wrong direction and the outcome is not great for anyone.

Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is looking.

Having the courage to do this, brings JOY and

JOY is contagious.
